Me! Come! My Dazzled Face! is a setting of an Emily Dickinson poem for women’s voices commissioned by the Isthmus Vocal ensemble and Scott MacPherson, conductor. This extroverted setting, with racing imitation and occasional pointillistic textures, attempts to capture the adventure and near manic joy of the poem’s substance: the breathtaking excitement and realization of being recognized and welcomed into heaven by the saints themselves.
